DESCRIPTION:My name is Karen Strolia. I am the President & CEO of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce. I wanted to introduce myself and share with you that we are taking on what was formerly known as the Forecasting the Future event and have partnered with the County to bring you the rebranded event named the 2025 Economic Forecast: Growth\, Housing & Mobility. The event will include a data-driven conversation with renowned economist\, Chris Thornberg\, who will start with what's happening at the federal level and how decisions there will impact our local Marin economy. After his presentation\, we'll pivot to two panel discussions about housing & homelessness\, and transportation.\n\n \n\nIn addition to the on-stage conversations\, we have extended invitations to other key stakeholders of our community who are working in areas that were also mentioned as concerns by our business community\, including small business experts\, immigration\, and microlending. The goal is for our business community to gain a better understanding of these topics.\n\n \n\nI would like to personally invite you to attend this year's event.
