DESCRIPTION:Acterra is proud to present the Marin Green@Home Tours 2025! This is a free\, community-powered event that invites the public to explore innovative\, electrified homes. On Saturday\, September 27th\, from 11AM to 3PM\, explore homes throughout Marin County\, ranging from new construction to those transitioning from gas. Gain valuable insights from tour hosts on appliance selection\, contractor decisions\, installation processes\, tax credits and incentives\, making your transition to electric living informed and cost-effective.\n\n\n\nAttendees will have the opportunity to see firsthand a wide variety of electric appliances and environmentally conscious home upgrades\, including energy-efficient heat pumps for heating and cooling\, heat pump water heaters\, induction cooktops\, rainwater catchment systems\, compost bins\, electric vehicles (EVs)\, solar panels\, battery storage systems\, and more. Attendees will also be able to engage with tour hosts to learn about their choices\, including financial considerations\, rebate programs\, contractors\, and appliance models.\n\n\n\nThe free Tour is made possible through the generosity of our sponsors\; Marin Water\, MCE\, and Marin Climate and Energy Partnership.\n\n\nIf you are interested\, please RSVP Here\n\n\nWhere is the event?\n\nThe tour will be happening all across Marin County\, primarily in San Rafael and Mill Valley areas. We will be showcasing dozens of green homes who have electrified and installed sustainability features. Once you register\, you will receive a link with addresses of the homes 2 weeks before the event.\n\n\n\nHow does the event work?\n\nThis event is similar to an open house format. 2 weeks prior to the event\, you will receive a link to access home addresses\, alongside what electric appliances are at each home. On the day of the event\, you will be able to ask tour hosts questions on how they electrified their home!
