Energy Efficiency and Electrification Projects

Hear from home performance contractors and local government program implementors on building science, energy efficiency, electrification projects, and how those topics relate to home comfort and health.

The webinar will cover home energy efficiency projects from simple measures to more the complex, and which projects are generally more cost effective. You’ll also hear about the rebate programs that can help cover the project cost.

Lastly, we’ll discuss the current trends in home electrification. That conversation will cover: what a heat pump is, how heat pumps can be used in the home, how they perform compared to traditional gas appliances, and why people are making the switch from gas appliances to heat pumps.

This webinar was coordinated by the Marin County Sustainability Team as part of our “Home Sustainability Webinar Series: The Homeowner Journey.” The Energy Efficiency and Electrification Projects webinar will repeat on Saturday, October 2 at 10am. Other topics in the webinar series include “Solar and Battery Storage,” and “Electric Vehicles.” You can sign up for those webinars on our events page (www.marincounty.org/ClimateEvents).
