We’re excited to share a new video series called Fix the Risk, designed to help homeowners understand the wildfire risks around their homes—and more importantly, what they can do about them. These short, practical videos walk viewers through simple steps to reduce vulnerability to embers, which are a leading cause of home ignition during wildfires.

The first three videos focus on key areas:

  • Create Zone 0: How to create an ember-resistant zone by removing vegetation within the first 5 feet of a home and using noncombustible materials like river rock.

  • Install Metal Gutter Guards: Why keeping gutters clear and protected can prevent home ignition.

  • Installing Ember Resistant Vents: How upgrading vents can stop embers from entering attics and crawl spaces.

We’re sharing these with you so you can see the messages reaching homeowners and use them to inform your own work. These videos are a valuable tool for contractors and builders involved in wildfire retrofit and new construction projects.

More videos are in development, and we’d love your input—what topics would you like to see covered next?
