Welcoming Julia Scardina, Welcoming Back Orna Weisberg, Celebrating Casey Mazzoni’s Next Chapter, and Welcoming Josh Townsend and Strategic 32

San Rafael, CA — May 4, 2026 — Marin Builders Association is pleased to announce several important team updates as the organization continues its work supporting members, partners, and the local building community.

The Association is excited to welcome Julia Scardina as Office Administrative Assistant. In this role, Julia is responsible for front office administrative duties and helps ensure a positive experience for members, partners, and visitors. She works closely with the team to help daily processes run smoothly, contributing to an organized, efficient, and service-oriented environment.

Julia joins Marin Builders Association with experience in client relations, operations management, and digital engagement. Prior to joining the Association, she worked in New York City as the Concierge and Social Media Marketing Manager at Sportslab NYC. A San Rafael native and Marin Catholic High School graduate, Julia is also a former Division I collegiate athlete at the University of Utah, where she earned her degree in Communications and Media Studies.

“I’m grateful to be part of a team that genuinely supports each other while contributing to the community in a meaningful and impactful way,” said Julia Scardina.

Marin Builders Association is also pleased to welcome back Orna Weisberg to the team as Operations, Marketing, & Member Services Coordinator. She will help manage, organize and coordinate initiatives, events, activities, and special projects. Her return brings valuable experience, familiarity, and continuity to the organization as it continues serving members and advancing its mission.

“I really enjoy working with a group of people that helps the community to build connections, grow and succeed,” said Orna Weisberg. “I see the value and the benefits this organization brings to our local businesses, and it fills me with joy to help bring my talent and skills into a place of appreciation.”

In other news, after twenty-three years serving as Director of Governmental Affairs and Permit Improvement Program with Marin Builders Association, Casey Mazzoni has accepted a new position as Director of Community Relations and Government Affairs for Canyon Rock Co., Inc. in Sonoma County.

During her tenure with Marin Builders Association, Casey spearheaded several successful government relations strategies in support of the construction industry and was the driving force behind two state bills that were signed into law. In 2017, she was part of the team that helped create the highly successful Permit Improvement Program, which has since become a model for the industry. Casey also managed the Association’s Political Action Committee, where a significant majority of endorsed candidates went on to win.

“Casey’s impact on Marin Builders Association and the broader construction industry has been extraordinary,” said Rick Wells, CEO of Marin Builders Association. “For more than two decades, she has served our members with skill, persistence, and heart. We are excited for her next opportunity with Canyon Rock and deeply grateful for the lasting contributions she has made to our organization, our members, and our community.”

Casey will be greatly missed, and Marin Builders Association wishes her all the best in this exciting new chapter. Members, partners, and friends are encouraged to reach out and join us in congratulating her at casey@mazzoniassociates.com.
