The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Occupational Noise Exposure Standard is designed to protect employees from hearing impairment due to excessive workplace noise levels. Your degree of risk depends on the volume of the noise and how long you’re exposed to it. Being able to hear well is essential for your safety and quality of life.
