Marin Builders Association Announces Candidate Endorsements for State Assembly and City Council Race

San Rafael, CA — September 29, 2026 — The Marin Builders Association today announced its support for Eric Lucan for California State Assembly, Eli Hill and Daryoush Davidi for San Rafael City Council and Rachel Farac and Dan Christian for Novato City Council.

The Marin Builders Association supports candidates who understand the important role the building industry plays in Marin County’s economy, housing supply, workforce development, climate resilience, and community infrastructure. These candidates bring experience, local knowledge, and a practical approach to issues affecting businesses, workers, residents, and the broader community. “Marin’s building industry is made up of local employers, skilled professionals, family-owned businesses, and community partners who help make our county work,” said Rick Wells, CEO of Marin Builders Association. “These candidates understand that housing, jobs, infrastructure, permitting, workforce development, and economic sustainability are all connected.”

Eric Lucan has demonstrated a pragmatic approach to local government and a clear understanding of the connection between economic vitality, housing, transportation, and community services. His experience in local government provides valuable perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing communities throughout Marin and the North Bay.

In San Rafael, the Association supports Eli Hill and Daryoush Davidi for City Council, recognizing their engagement in local issues and their attention to the needs of residents, employers, property owners, and the broader business community. Hill currently serves on the City Council and has developed a strong, collaborative working relationship with the Marin Builders Association.

In Novato, the Association supports Rachel Farac and Dan Christian for City Council, recognizing their understanding of local priorities and the importance of a strong local economy, responsible housing policy, infrastructure investment, and efficient city services. Farac currently serves as Mayor and has consistently demonstrated a thoughtful approach to issues that are important to MBA members.
