Marin Builders Association PAC Announces Endorsements of Damon Connolly, Eric Lucan, Magali Limeta, and Mary Sackett

San Rafael, CA — May 5, 2026 — The Marin Builders Association Political Action Committee, known as BAPAC, today announced its endorsement of Damon Connolly for California State Senate, Eric Lucan for California State Assembly, Magali Limeta for Marin County Board of Supervisors District 5, and Mary Sackett for Marin County Board of Supervisors District 1.

BAPAC supports candidates who understand the essential role the building industry plays in Marin County’s economy, housing supply, workforce development, climate resilience, and community infrastructure. After evaluating the candidates’ experience, leadership, and commitment to practical solutions, BAPAC believes Connolly, Lucan, Limeta, and Sackett are well positioned to help advance policies that strengthen local businesses and support the communities they serve.

“Marin’s building industry is made up of local employers, skilled professionals, family-owned businesses, and community partners who help make our county work,” said Rick Wells, CEO of Marin Builders Association. “Damon Connolly, Eric Lucan, Magali Limeta, and Mary Sackett each bring the experience, judgment, and commitment to public service needed to address the challenges facing Marin and the North Bay.”

Damon Connolly, currently serving in the California State Assembly, has a long record of public service in Marin County and the North Bay. BAPAC cited his experience in local and state government, his understanding of regional housing and infrastructure needs, and his ability to work constructively on issues affecting our region’s workers and families.

Eric Lucan, Marin County Supervisor and former Novato City Councilmember, has demonstrated a pragmatic approach to local government and a clear understanding of the connection between economic vitality, housing, transportation, and community services. BAPAC believes Lucan’s local government experience will serve the region well in the State Assembly.

Magali Limeta, a Novato community leader and candidate for Marin County Board of Supervisors District 5, brings deep local roots and a strong commitment to community engagement, opportunity, and responsive government. BAPAC supports Limeta’s focus on practical solutions and her ability to represent the needs of District 5 residents, employers, and working families.

Mary Sackett, Marin County Supervisor for District 1, has demonstrated a hands-on, service-oriented approach to local government. BAPAC cited her knowledge of county operations, her responsiveness to community needs, and her focus on infrastructure, public service, and practical problem-solving.

“These endorsements reflect our confidence in leaders who are prepared to listen, collaborate, and solve problems,” added Wells. “Marin needs elected officials who understand that housing, jobs, infrastructure, permitting, workforce development, and economic sustainability are all connected. We are proud to support these candidates.”

BAPAC encourages members of the building industry, local employers, and community stakeholders to learn more about the endorsed candidates and participate in the upcoming election.
